27/07/2016

In the framework of BLUEGNSS WP600 activities lead by ENAV with the support of MATS, Flight Inspection Team validated GNSS approaches for runway 13 and 31 of Malta International Airport. The validation was carried out on the 26 of July by Piaggio Avanti P180 of ENAV Flight Inspection Department with the support and in close coordination with Malta ATC. Another important milestone has been reached by the project that now is moving forward with the design activities of GNSS approaches for selected Greek airports. RNP APCH procedures with 3 minimas (LPV, LNAV/VNAV, LNAV) have been designed and validated accordingly to most relevant ICAO standards.

BLUEGNSS is a H2020 project funded by EC whose objective is the operational adoption of GNSS in the BLUE MED area.
