07/03/2013

The BLUE MED FAB Project was represented this year at the World ATM Congress, the most important European event dedicated to air traffic control services and management activities, scheduled to take place at the IFEMA Feira de Madrid from 12 to 14 February 2013.

Exhibition attendees had the opportunity to meet the Project within the ENAV Stand (927 - Hall 9) where they found a space dedicated to the BLUE MED FAB initiative. Visitors could also enter the dedicated website through a multimedia terminal. The BLUE MED representatives attending the exhibition were available to explain the initiative and answer to any question related to the BLUE MED FAB establishment. A number of publications regarding the project were also distributed.

During the event the BLUE MED ANSP Commettee meeting took place, dealing with the arrangements of the BLUE MED Implementation Programme. The BLUE MED Project started in 2012 its implementation phase which will contribute to the improvement of air traffic management services over the Mediterranean basin, bringing advantages in the area in terms of enhanced safety levels, capacity and economic efficiency, reduction of delays and environmental impact.

The BLUE MED participation in the Madrid event is part of the communications tasks of the initiative, which ENAV is proud to undertake in order to disseminate the results achieved by the project and spread information about the activities under way, and ensure maximum visibility, considering the importance of the BLUE MED FAB.
